Deer Park Elementary

8:00-1:00

-K-5 Families that have preregistered or are returning students, will report to the
cafeteria using the door by the side parking lot to start their “Meet the Teacher
Day” experience.

-Families new to Deer Park that have not preregistered, will report to the front
office to complete the necessary paperwork.

Step 0:
-Prior to coming to campus, please place all school supplies into a box/bag with your child’s first and last name and
student number. (Supply lists can be found on our website or local stores have our list)
-Please know how your child will be going home on the first day of school and on subsequent days

Step 1: Start in the Cafeteria
– Please use the front gate to enter campus and make your way to the cafeteria. All exterior entrances will be closed
for safety purposes. When you enter the cafeteria, you will completed steps 2-4.

Step 2: Pay Student Fees- Cost $32.00
-For a quick experience, you can prepay your child’s fees online at https://www.pasco.k12.fl.us/parents and hit the “Pay
Fee” tab. Then bring the receipt to benefit from our fast pass line.
-If you do not prepay online, you can pay by cash or check, as we do not take credit cards.
– Get/Verify your child’s teacher assignment after paying your student fees.

Step 3: Transportation Table
*All students get car rider tag regardless of how they go home. These tags are used for car loop, walker’s gates AND for
pick up for any school event. Parents must show their tags to pick up their students.
-Car Rider, Bus Riders, Walkers & Daycare Riders MUST pick up their tags for backpacks.
-Walker & Bike rider students need to sign “Walker” release form (Note: New this coming year, parents that meet their
children at the walker gates for pick up, will need to bring their car rider tags. No tag, no student. If a parent forgets
their tag, they will need to have their photo IDs checked before releasing a student.

Step 4: Visit the PTA Table
-Join the PTO
-Buy School Spirit Wear (students wear school colors on Friday)

Step 5: Visit the Classroom
-Meet the teacher and drop off your school supplies
-Fill out the teacher’s contact information and transportation form
-Pick up your “Beginning of the Year” folder and planner
-Pick up your rearview mirror car tags (each family receives two regardless of their daily transportation method), these
tags are not only used for car loop but for picking up at school events, so keep them in your car for convivence.
