Literacy Week: January 27th to the 31st of 2025!

Celebrate Literacy Week! Theme: Building Literacy: Constructing the Foundation for Success

This year, we are excited to Celebrate Literacy the week of January 27th- January 31st 2025 alongside you! Please see this flyer with information related to each day’s theme. Schools are encouraged to lean into the theme by having students participate in reading books related to workforce education (e.g., architecture, construction, engineering) in an effort to connect Governor DeStantis’ Get There Workforce Education Initiative.

 

New Worlds Reading Initiative

Eligibility for New Worlds Reading is as follows:  

  1. Students in VPK-Grade 2 scoring below the 40th percentile on FAST Star Early Literacy/Reading;
  2. Students in Grades 3-5 scoring below Level 3; and
  3. Students in Grades K-5 receiving Tier 2 or Tier 3 Reading Intervention Support (as reported by districts in Survey 2 and Survey 3).
